Event narrative
After a period of freezing drizzle that created an icy glaze, three to six inches of snow and sleet fell across the county. In addition wind chill indices fell below zero for a period of time during and after the snow ended.
Wider weather episode
An Arctic front brought extreme cold to Southeast Texas and a few bouts of winter precipitation. The first storm brought snow, sleet and/or freezing rain to different parts of the area.
