Scattered thunderstorms developed during the afternoon of Saturday May, 15th. These storms developed along a line of ample instability, wind shear, and lower freezing levels to produce a few large hail stones. The largest hail stone was 1.25 in diameter that fell near New Richmond. There were also numerous reports of small hail that covered the ground up to a couple inches deep.
