A gust of 60 mph was recorded on Sacramento Peak.
Wider weather episode
A strong upper low moved through central New Mexico with close to a 100 knot jet located near the international border. A surface low was also located over the eastern half of the state. West to southwest winds gusted up to 87 mph in the Organ mountains as the system moved through.
