Event narrative

The northern half of the zone remained in Exceptional(D4) drought while the south was still in Extreme(D3) drought through the month of March. The Mountain Park Cooperative Observer reported 0.41 inches of precipitation which was 0.47 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Another month of below average precipitation for much of the area kept all areas in at least Severe(D2) drought with many areas in Exceptional(D4) drought conditions.
