Event narrative

Heavy rains produce flash flooding in and around the Grapeland area. A water rescue was performed along FM 228 approximately two miles east of Grapeland after a car was swept off the road by floodwaters.

A slow moving and back building band of showers and thunderstorms produced early morning flash flooding in the Grapeland area of Houston County.
