A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60 mph knocked down trees and wires near Saint Marys.
Wider weather episode
A mid-level shortwave trough crossed the Mid-Atlantic region on June 14, 2021, generating a line of storms that developed over northwestern Pennsylvania by late morning and progressed east-southeastward through the afternoon hours. Sporadic wind damage was observed with this line, with most of this occurring within a single, long-lived bowing segment that progressed from Elk County east-southeastward along the I-80 corridor to Columbia County.
