Buoy near Cedar Point reported a 50 mph peak gust from thunderstorm.

Lake Erie remained in the warm sector as a surface low moved from central Lake Michigan to near northern Georgian Bay during the early afternoon through early evening of the 13th. Simultaneously, the trailing cold front moved eastward and dissipated, allowing the residual surface trough axis to near the western end of Lake Erie by early evening. Multiple squall lines moved eastward over and near Lake Erie, and produced gale-force peak wind gusts at several locations along the Ohio shore. These storms encountered moderate instability and DCAPE, and marginally-moderate effective bulk shear.
