A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60 mph uprooted trees near Lurgan.

Scattered showers and storms developed in a moderate CAPE, moderate shear environment to the south of a quasi-stationary front draped across southern New York state during the afternoon and evening of July 7, 2021. Numerous wind damage reports were received, along with a couple of quarter-sized hail reports.
