Event narrative

Winds from a severe thunderstorm damaged some mobile homes southwest of De Kalb, including a double-wide mobile home which had its roof blown off. Some trees were also blown down farther southwest along MS Highway 493 near Liberty.

Wider weather episode

Strong to severe thunderstorms developed over northern portions of Mississippi during the afternoon of June 13th and quickly spread south and west across the state. Several significant events of wind damage occurred as these storms spread across the region, with some houses impacted by high wind and fallen trees.
