Event narrative
A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60 mph knocked down at least eight trees across Fort Stouffer Road west of Five Forks, making the road impassable.
Wider weather episode
Scattered showers and storms developed in a very warm and very humid airmass over central Pennsylvania during the afternoon of August 13, 2021, well ahead of an approaching cold front over the eastern Great Lakes. Several of these storms produced wind damage, particularly a cluster of storms that pushed eastward from the southern Alleghenies into the Lower Susquehanna Valley.
