Event narrative

This is the second segment of a two segment tornado. The tornado moved into Madison County, uprooting trees on the 4035 Road and on AR-295. Tree damage continued across Delaney Creek Road and the 4145 Road, before the tornado dissipated to the west of Highway 16. Based on this damage, maximum estimated wind in this segment of the tornado was 90 to 100 mph.

Wider weather episode

A cluster of strong to severe thunderstorms developed during the late evening of the 14th over central Oklahoma ahead of an approaching cold front. These thunderstorms remained organized and moved through northwestern Arkansas during the early morning hours of the 15th. The strongest storms produced damaging wind gusts, and a tornado.
