WYDOT mesonet station Shirley Rim (WY44) along WY487 measured maximum wind gust 2 miles northwest of Shirley Basin.
Wider weather episode
Widespread strong winds on the 16th with for most areas in southeast Wyoming along and west of the Laramie Range gusting greater than 58 MPH. Interstates 80 and 25 were closed to light, high profile vehicles for an extended period of time. Maximum wind gust of 80 MPH was observed at Bordeaux along Interstate 25.
