A Mesonet site 1 mile southwest of High Rolls recorded a peak gust of 59 mph.
Wider weather episode
An upper low moved through Utah into Colorado with an associated 120 knot jet. A deep surface low developed over the lee of the Rockies which brought wind gusts up to 88 mph to the region.
