A very strong low pressure system tracked from the arrowhead of Minnesota northeast toward James Bay. Strong winds gusting to 50 mph occured across much of southeast Michigan, with peak winds reaching 60 mph or greater across Huron and Saginaw. The highest report of wind over land was Port Hope, coming in at 66 mph.
