The tornado continued east from Cross County lifting 4 miles west of Crawfordsville. Two commercial buildings had minor damage. The tornado produced F0 damage while in Crittenden County.
Around 1 to 3 inches of snow fell during the late afternoon and evening hours of February 28th, 2009. The snow continued into the early morning hours of March 1st. Total snow accumulations for the snowstorm of February 28th-March 1st in Crittenden County was 3-4 inches.
A heat-related death occurred 10 miles west of West Memphis. A 16 month old was left in a vehicle for three hours and died as a result of temperatures exceeding 127 degrees in the vehicle.
Heavy rain, up to 10 inches, fell across the West Memphis and Marion area. Numerous streets and roads were flooded. At least 101 homes sustained at least minor damage from the flooding.
