Locally dense fog developed with visibilities less than 1/4 mile around Fresno.

Dense Fog developed in the Central San Joaquin Valley immediately prior to midnight and persisted until high cloudiness moved over the area in the wee hours of the morning of the 28th. Visibility dropped to less than 1/4 mile as reported by both the Merced and Madera ASOS units.

California Highway Patrol reported visibilities of only 200-500 feet along Interstate Highway-5 from Merced County south into northern Fresno County on the west side of the Valley.

Fresno County deciduous area temperatures dropped to 28 to 32 deg. F.
