A large upper trough brought a couple of disturbances across the region, resulting in periods of snow across a good portion of western South Dakota. The first disturbance brought snow across northwestern South Dakota and a couple of bands of heavier snowfall through northern portions of Harding and Perkins Counties. Snowfall of two to four inches were common across northwestern South Dakota, with four to eight inches and locally higher amounts within the heavier bands close to the North Dakota border. The next disturbance brought snow mostly to southwestern into south central South Dakota, which produced mostly two to four inches across these areas.
