Event narrative

Numerous reports of light snow were received from across Berkeley County. Snow accumulation was limited to location across the northern half of the county, primarily around Lake Moultrie and the Jamestown area. The peak measured accumulations included 0.4 in the Saint Stephen area, 0.1 around Jamestown, 0.1 in Bonneau, and 0.1 around Pinopolis.

Wider weather episode

Light snow showers developed across portions of southeast South Carolina as an area of low pressure situated off the Southeast coast steadily deepened and lifted northward toward the New England coast. Light snow was observed across much of the Charleston Tri-County region, with most locations observing only flurries and no accumulations. Areas in northern Berkeley County around Lake Moultrie reported light accumulations with no significant impacts.
