2022-01-26 · Southern Itasca, Minnesota

The cold high pressure that brought widespread wind chills in the 40s below zero the night of the 25th moved to the east of the region through the day and into the night of the 26th. While temperatures were a bit warmer, a tighter pressure gradient was in place ahead of an area of low pressure moving into Manitoba. The winds led to wind chill readings again in the 40s below zero, but were not as widespread as the night before. The coldest reading was -48F near Cotton.
