MDT 2 SE Browning station measured a 52 kt (60 mph) non-thunderstorm wind gust.
Wider weather episode
Northwesterly flow aloft brought a slight reduction in winds for most locations. However, 50 kt H700 winds combined with tight surface pressure gradients maintained periodic strong gusts over the Rocky Mountain Front.
