Snowfall of 6+ inches was reported across the area.

A strong arctic airmass settled in over the Billings Forecast Area. At the same time, abundant Pacific moisture overrode this airmass. This resulted in a prolonged period of heavy snow across all of south central and southeast Montana. Snowfall amounts of 6 to 12 inches were common.
