Event narrative

A severe thunderstorm producing winds estimated near 60 mph knocked down trees onto wires along Blue Mountain Road near Lewistown.

Wider weather episode

A cold front pushed into an unseasonably warm and humid airmass over central Pennsylvania during the afternoon and early evening hours of March 7, 2022. A narrow band of gusty rain showers accompanied the front, with very little lightning observed. This line of convective showers (and isolated thunder) produced sporadic wind damage as it pushed eastward across the area.
