A business reported dime size hail SE of Olar.

A closed upper level low, and an accompanying surface low, approached the region from the west during the afternoon and evening. Moderate instability associated with the combination of warm surface temps and cold temps aloft, in addition to moderate deep layer atmospheric shear and low freezing levels, led to a few severe thunderstorms that produced large hail.
