King Salmon reported freezing rain for about an hour on the 24th of December which began around 6 PM local time. Dillingham and Koliganek stations reported unknown precipitation several times. Iliamna also reported freezing rain around 9 PM on the evening of the 24th of December. Egegik also reported unknown precipitation.

Wider weather episode

Another winter storm moved northward through the Gulf of Alaska a few days after the previous one. As a result, much of Southern Alaska saw another myriad of winter precipitation types in the days leading up to the holiday.
