Event narrative

Several SNOTEL stations including Trial Lake, Chalk Creek, Brown Duck, Lakefork Basin, and Hayden Fork recorded between 1.6 and 1.9 inches of snow water equivalent, or approxmiately 10 to 12 inches of heavy wet snow. In addition, automated weather station recorded wind gusts included 98 mph, 93 mph, and 78 mph at Chepeta, Windy Peak, and Lofty Lake Peak, respectively.

An atmospheric river brought heavy wet snow to the northern Utah mountains, along with strong winds.
