Snowfall accumulations of 2 to 5 inches were common.

A series of weak low pressure areas traversed along a cold front that moved across northern NY during the early morning hours of March 12th. Rain/snow mixed developed in the early morning hours changing to snow before sunrise and continuing until early afternoon. Snowfall amounts ranged from several inches along the St. Lawrence Valley and Canadian border to 6 to 12 inches in the higher terrain of the eastern Adirondacks.
