A gust to 66 mph was measured at UNCW's main campus and campus EM reported damage to a couple large tents and a large tarp at a ball field.

A cold front moved across the area resulting in strong non-thunderstorm winds ahead of the boundary, along with a line of severe thunderstorms that also caused wind damage.
