Heavy snow began shortly after midnight on the 5th, bringing about 2 feet of new snow to Stevens Pass in a 24 hour period. Snow then gradually tapered through the evening hours of the 7th. For Snoqualmie Pass, heavy snow also began shortly after midnight on the 5th and continued through most of the 6th. About 2 feet of new snow fell in a 24 hour time period.
