Snow began around midnight on the 6th, only days after a previous winter storm. The heaviest snow occurred during the afternoon and overnight period on the 6th and then gradually tapered through the evening of the 7th.

Wider weather episode

Another winter storm, on the heel of the first one shortly after the new year, brought heavy snow to the Cascades.
