What the National Weather Service wrote

Up to 4 inches of snow fell across the county. CoCoRaHS station Beersheba Springs 2.1 ENE measured 3.5 inches of snow. The COOP observer in Coalmont measured 2.6 inches of snow.

The wider storm

After severe storms affected Middle Tennessee on January 1, light rain moved back across Middle Tennessee during the late morning hours on January 2. This rain changed to snow during the afternoon and evening hours, before ending in the early morning on January 3. Snowfall amounts ranged from 1 inch or less near the Kentucky border, up to 9 inches in parts of Bedford County.
