Overnight lows dropped into the 20s across the area, including a low of 25 degrees at the Blanding Municipal Airport.

Wider weather episode

Clouds continued to dissipate in the wake of an unseasonably strong cold front which led to enhanced radiational cooling across eastern Utah. This led to subfreezing temperatures in the valleys where vegetation was sensitive to damage.
