To start the month of February, ongoing drought conditions were at (D2-Severe) for all but the far western edge of Northern Phillips County, which was in (D3-Extreme) drought. These conditions would remain the same through the end of February.

February overall was warmer and drier than average and this would allow the ongoing drought to persist with little to no improvement.
