An upper-level disturbance and strong north to northwest winds helped to produce a prolonged period of upslope enhanced snowfall over the northern into central Black Hills. Snowfall totals were mostly in the three to eight inch range across the area, with localized amounts to 12 inches. The gusty winds produced some areas of blowing and drifting snow.
