The Windy Peak SNOTEL in the North Laramie Range (WNDW4) recorded an estimated storm total snowfall of 14 inches, based on 0.7 inch of SWE and an estimated ratio of 20 to 1.
Wider weather episode
Widespread snow and blowing snow occurred across southeast Wyoming from the afternoon and evening on March 8th through the evening of March 9th. Total snowfall accumulations of 4 to 8 inches were common across the lower elevations with widespread totals of 1 to 2 feet in the mountains at elevations above 8000 feet. Winter conditions resulted in multiple road closures per WYDOT.
