Gusty Santa Ana winds occurred across the region with widespread winds 50 to 60 MPH. Fremont Canyon RAWS reported a wind gust of 77 MPH on the 10th.
Wider weather episode
A ridge of high pressure over the western U.S. provided very warm and windy conditions. Areas near the coast reached into the 90s with records broken, along with wind gusts over 70 MPH in parts of the mountains.
