An official NWS Co-Op observer reported 5.2 inches of snow just east of Van Tassel along the Niobrara/Sioux County Line.

The wider storm

Widespread snow and blowing snow occurred across southeast Wyoming from the afternoon and evening on March 8th through the evening of March 9th. Total snowfall accumulations of 4 to 8 inches were common across the lower elevations with widespread totals of 1 to 2 feet in the mountains at elevations above 8000 feet. Winter conditions resulted in multiple road closures per WYDOT.
