A five-vehicle accident and slick roads during a late-season snowfall closed U.S. 11/15 in both directions from PA Route 274 to U.S. Route 22/322 in Penn Township, Perry County. No injuries were reported. The southbound lanes reopened quickly, but the northbound lanes were closed for a little under two hours.

Wider weather episode

A late-season winter storm produced snow across most of central Pennsylvania April 18-19, 2022, with the heaviest snow falling across the northeastern highlands. Snow accumulation was largely elevation-dependent, with Sullivan County receiving 10-14 inches of snow.
