All areas of the zone remained in Extreme(D3) drought except for the far north which remained in Severe(D2) drought. The Hillsboro Cooperative Observer recorded 0.01 inches of precipitation which was 0.41 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Another month of well below normal precipitation kept much of Southwest New Mexico in Severe(D2) to Extreme(D3) drought.
