Widespread wind gusts of 45 to 55 MPH occurred. Whitewater RAWS recorded a peak wind gust of 71 MPH.
The wider storm
A potent trough of low pressure from the Pacific brought cold weather across the region. Our region also saw some lower elevation snowfall with higher elevations receiving over one foot of snow. Record cold temperatures and highway closures were the main impacts as this system swept through the region from February 21st to 23rd.
