Chatham County Emergency Management Agency reported several trees and power lines down across the county due to gusty winds. The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (KSAV) measured a peak gust of 52 mph.

Wider weather episode

Strong wind gusts occurred ahead of a strong cold front in the early morning hours, as well as behind the front through the afternoon. The strong wind gusts produced scattered wind damage across portions of southeast Georgia, mainly Chatham County.
