Event narrative

A picture received via social media showed nickel to quarter sized hail near Keller.

Wider weather episode

A warm front lifted northward across southeast Georgia in the morning ahead of an approaching low pressure system. The low, and associated cold front, gradually moved toward the area through the afternoon and eventually passed through and off the coast by the late evening hours. Thunderstorms impacted southeast Georgia through much of the day, with a few of the thunderstorms becoming strong enough to produce large hail.
