South Carolina Highway Patrol reported a tree down and blocking the left lane along westbound Interstate 26 near mile marker 192 due to gusty winds.

Wider weather episode

Strong winds developed across southeast South Carolina in the early morning hours well ahead of an approaching cold front. The presence of a strong pressure gradient in advance of the front, coupled with an increasingly strong low-level jet, produced widespread wind gusts of 40-50 mph. The strong wind gusts produced scattered wind damage through midday.
