Chatham County Emergency Management Agency reported a few trees down around approximately 6 homes on Ramsgate Road in the Coffee Bluff area. One home sustained minor damage from an oak tree partially falling on it.

Wider weather episode

Strong winds developed across southeast Georgia in the early morning hours well ahead of an approaching cold front. The presence of a strong pressure gradient in advance of the front, coupled with an increasingly strong low-level jet, produced widespread wind gusts of 40-50 mph. The strong wind gusts produced scattered wind damage through midday.
