Springerville Airport reported high wind criteria between 1215 PM MST and 515 PM with a peak wind gust of 67 MPH at 350 PM MST.

A deepening cold upper low across the Pacific Northwest brought strong westerly gradients over Arizona with persistent southwest winds. The strongest winds were observed over the Eastern Mogollon Rim, White Mountains, and the Little Colorado River Valley in Navajo and Apache counties.
