Event narrative

Roughly 5 to 7 inches of snow fell predominantly in the southeastern portion of Carrol County overnight on the 1st, going into the early morning hours on the 2nd of February. More snow moved in a few hours later, but did not appear to contribute significantly to the totals.

Wider weather episode

Late in the evening of February 1 light to moderate snow formed across western and central Missouri. The heavier band of snow set up more in central Missouri, where roughly 6 to 12 inches of snow fell. Within that 6-12 inch band the area around Marshall and Moberly, Missouri and areas to the east received the higher amounts within that range.
