A Trained spotter reported 8 inches of new snow in the Juneau Borough at 7:30 am on February 2nd.

Wider weather episode

A gale force low produced widespread snow across Southeast Alaska. Winter storm snow amounts fell along the Icy Strait Corridor northward along with snow prone areas of the Southern Panhandle.
