Peak wind gusts included: 70 mph near Sterling, 67 mph near Iliff, 63 mph, 5 miles north of Pawnee Pass; with 59 mph near Peetz.

Very strong winds developed across eastern Elbert, northern Lincoln, Logan, Sedgwick, Phillips and Washington counties. Peak wind gusts up to 70 mph were observed. A large tree was knocked down at Columbine Park in Sterling.
