Maximum surf of 8 feet reported by Huntington Beach lifeguards.

Wider weather episode

A strong upper-level low impacted Southern California on March 28th and 29th. Widespread precipitation occurred with this system, with areas of heavy rain at lower elevations and snow in the mountains. Heavy rain in spots led to flooding, which then led to some water rescues, road closures, as well as a small mud and debris flow on the Bond Fire burn scar.
