High temperatures topped out in the upper 80s and lower 90s across much of Inland Orange County. The Fullerton ASOS recorded a high of 88 degrees, and an observation near Yorba Linda recorded a high of 90 degrees both on March 23rd.

Wider weather episode

High pressure over the Eastern Pacific combined with low pressure over the southwestern United States to produce Santa Ana winds over the mountains of Southern California, with several gusts of 50 to 70 mph. This also allowed temperatures across areas east of the mountains to climb well above seasonal averages, reaching the upper 80s to middle 90s across many coastal areas.
