Event narrative

Broadcast media station KSN reported a crash occurred on Interstate 70 east of the Interstate 135 interchange by a mile due to icy road conditions on an overpass. Snow fell during the overnight into morning hours totaling to 0.5 to 0.7 inches. This crash unfortunately resulted in a fatality of a 43 year old female after she lost control, veered, struck a guardrail then overturned one to two times.

Wider weather episode

A batch of light snow moved into central and south Kansas during the morning hours of March 31st. Snowfall amounts ranged from a half inch to three inches.
